This unique technology extracts pure krill oil through a cost-effective and cleaner process. Tharos, as producer, manufactures krill oil entirely onboard factory trawlers, at-sea, where the operation takes place, from fresh raw krill in less than 2 hours from capture. The oil becomes final onboard. There is no need for any further purification or extraction on-land neither any solvent use.
Outsourced independent contractors and producers. Tharos develop and manage projects throughout the entire value chain, from ideation to sales and marketing. Their core competences cover the entire value chain, from nobel marine-origin product ideation to development, production and sales.
A 5-year research using Tharos patented extraction technology successfully extracted oils and meals from marine waste, as head and viscera. Phospholipids-enriched oils were sourced depending on which marine waste species were tested.
